Thinkpad笔记本的电源管理软件的作用，除了系统自带的基本功能之处，还有四个特色的功能，如：关闭显示屏、电池延时、卸下并更换电池、显示电池信息等。下面以win7系统为例介绍一下这四个功能的作用：1、关闭显示屏功能。在安装了电源管理软件后，用鼠标右键单击选择“关闭显示屏”，可以将笔记本电脑的显示屏关闭显示，按鼠标任意键或键盘任意键即恢复显示。2、电池延时功能。在安装了电源管理软件后，用鼠标左键单击，在出现的电源管理器界面中，可以看到有“电池延时设置”，点击进入后可进行相关设置，如：显示设置、桌面设置、其它设置等。如果开启“电池延时”，在使用电池供电时，就会自动启用设置的相关功能。3、卸下并更换电池功能。这个功能是在使用电池供电时，电池的电量不够用了，需要更换另外一块电池时所使用的功能。不需要关机，即可更换电池，对于商务办公人士经常使用笔记本电脑且一块电池不够用的情况下，是非常方便的。4、显示电池信息功能。这个功能是可以显示出该笔记本电池的详细信息。如：电池温度、生产商名称、生产日期、首次使用日期、序列号、设计容量、固件版本等。有了这个功能，可以很方便的查询自己的笔记本电池信息，如果需要购买电池的话，可以参考这些数据。如图所示。
